Coffee has also been found beneficial in reducing the risk of cardiovascular disease and pancreatis as well as in reducing the risk of type 2 diabetes.
Now we feel affirmed but here is so much more – it is also about the Coffee Culture, more in the international vein, where drinking a range of berista crafted coffee’s is a joyful ritual of everyday life. For the most part I seem to gravitate toward people who want to brainstorm over a cup of joe pr two. Working in the office lost its luster once I started traveling internationally. I prefer socially grounded environments especially as I work independently. Friday Wellness Tip: Spanista Garden Party Dream Time is a promise of great times to come. Currently I am in Kansas City for a week. Fortunately spring in offering its awakening splendor in the grass is luscious green – the shamrock kind of green that makes you feel lucky while trees are sprouting delicate buds of promise everywhere. The tree behind our home is passionately blooming in an intense fuchsia. When I look out to see it my mind turns toward the back year patio. Memories unfold where wonderful hours of alfresco dinning, sharing laughter and fun with family and friends or just taking in some Spanista Reflection Time fill my heart. While I am in Kansas City, I love visiting Nell Hill, Mary Carol Garity’s Home Design Studio in Briar Cliff Village. No one creates the seasonal home settings like Mary Carol. She exemplifies The Seasons of Spanista Lifestyle. Visiting the store is an extraordinary experience. Two floors of room settings that explode with unprecedented inspiration, fantasy and aspirational living concepts. Here Spring 2015 lights up your world with color as primary anchor themes of deep blue and savory coral thread through out the settings. This is complemented by an array of intense complimentary colors.
But what really captivated me was my first encounter with the idea of Garden Party Dream Time at Nell Hill. This presentation – the idea of it sparked images of planning my owns series of Garden Parties over the next fews months when outdoor weather begs us to be amongst nature all times of the day.

During the late Victorian era, an elaborate and lavish Garden Party was an entertaining social affair. England was considered the land for garden parties, with its turf of velvet softness, its flowing lime trees, splendid old oaks, and its sculptured landscape gardening. It was difficult to locate places in America which offered the clipped-box avenues, the arcades of blossoming rose vines, the finely kept and perfect gravel walks, or, better still, the old-fashioned gardens overflowing with flowers. But there were some locations in America with a green lawn, a few trees, and (with the prospect of a sunny day) would be perfect for a Garden Party.
The proper garden party was always held entirely in the open air. It consists of tea and coffee, bread and butter and biscuits, cake, sandwiches, fruit, claret-cup and lemonade, and of course the ices. Of course today the menu is limited only by the imagination. But to me, the setting you create can be more important to setting the mood and cultivating the joy a Garden Party can evoke. Check out all the Garden Party images when you do a Google search. It is this week’s Spanista In Touch Tableau encourages you to update your fragrance ritual with the arrival of spring. we are so inclined to take advantage of shopping online for so many everyday things, thanks to Amazon, but when we need feed the need for our senses to be satiated – especially those of scent and touch – I head to the real shopping experience – sometimes just for the escape into an aspiration world.
For instance discovering luscious Happ & Sthans is a joyful moment. I so appreciate quality design – This is feminine, fantastic, fun and dreamy vintage. The mix of historical inspiration made new again always appeals to me. When I see this wonderful collection my imagination harkens back to Victorian Times of Sense & Sensibility – a well mannered sophistication lifestyle allowing promoting access to the finest of everything.

Beachcombing Practice: Shell Hunting Offers Soulful Meditation is a joyful experience of mindfulness. A wonderful Self Care Reflection Walk upon the cool sea drenched sands of Hutchinson Island, Florida calms the soul. There is something deeply therapeutic about walking barefoot along the edge of the surf while turns of the waves tease repeatedly as one stroll the shore. Thought you would enjoy taking this walk with me.
You can see above a threatening sky over the ocean is full of electricity and excitement – dramatic in their hues of rich blues and grays with the rays of beaming light struggling to break through the clouds. It is hard to guess which direction the wind is taking the cascading rain bursts along the horizon as it is ever-changing. Soon, it appears the storm is moving on a parallel pathway to the shoreline. No real threat to beachcombing if this pattern continues.
The anticipation of shell hunting warms my heart every time I head for the beach. The joyful little girl inside resurrects herself to come out to play. It is a thrill to discover the surf is bringing in such natural treasures to enjoy by everyone who cares to visit with open hands and open heart to explore. Once one moves into the rhythm of collecting, it draws you into a type of trance that is most relaxing. The quest for shell style to pleases you – either a color, a shape or a texture – takes extreme focus – to hunt and explore. All else fades far into the background allowing one to meditate on the moment.
